Things to Know About the CELTA Course

Anyone in the world of ESL teaching has probably heard of the CELTA before, one of the most-listed requirements for many employers when you're seeking an English language teaching job. My teaching experience up until now was done based off an online TEFL course, but with all this extra free time in lockdown, and the saturation of the online teaching market due to Covid, I figured I may as well go for the CELTA (even though I don't intend to teach long term). I opted for the part-time version, which took 12 weeks (full time is 4 weeks), and I did it online rather than in-person. I finished and got my results a week or so ago - I passed, hooray! - so I thought I'd share some of my experiences with it, for anyone else interested in doing it.

Things to Know About Yoga

So I've been practising yoga now on and off for about seven years, but consistently for the last four, mainly using the Yoga with Adriene YouTube channel at home (not in person classes). As someone who never liked sports and exercise growing up, discovering yoga was a big thing for me, as I finally found an activity I actually enjoy and look forward to doing. Naturally, not every type of exercise is for everyone, but I wanted to share a few misconceptions and other things to know about yoga, which people may not be aware of!

Quarantine Diaries | Part 3 | Hello 2021

Happy New Year gang! Yeah I know, it's February already. And this isn't my first post of 2021, but seeing as the last one was a long-overdue post about something I did last year, I don't fully count it. This is the first, official post about 2021 and the New Year, and where life is at these days.

.... which is back in lockdown, if you're here in the UK anyways. Oh what a start to the year! How are we all coping? Who's lost their mind again? I was reading back through my last 'Quarantine Diary' before starting writing this one, and in it I mentioned that my situation then in August was fairly similar to in the first instalment, from May. Well, that's not quite true this time!
