Musically Inspired - Save Yourself

How can we help each other if we're broken ourselves? If we rely on someone else for our happiness, what happens when that person is gone? When should we be selfless, and when is it ok to be a bit selfish?

Outfit - How Far I'll Go

It's been a while since my last outfit post! Life has just been busy, and I've had other posts I wanted to write in between. Back at it now though, featuring one of my favourite Disney 'princesses', Moana (daughter of the chief, so not technically a princess). I went with the island girl theme for this, channelling some summery vibes with the sandals and the flower clip in my hair. The bright red top is fun and vibrant, albeit less patterned than hers, and I don't have any sort of brown skirt or bottoms, so the white skirt was the closest, and matches the long and loose style of hers. I chose this blue stone necklace, similar to hers, with matching blue earrings to tie in, and both of which remind me of the ocean, which she is so linked to. Finally, I let my hair dry in braids for the waves, and chose light, earth toned makeup for a fairly natural look.

Shit Faced Showtime | Edinburgh Fringe 2018

The Fringe is back and I'm back in Edinburgh for it, first time in a couple of years I've actually been here! Working as a tour guide on the Royal Mile can be a bit stressful when it's so busy, but I'm trying to make the most of the festival as well, and see as many shows as I can. I saw Shit Faced Shakespeare a couple of years ago, and this year the same company have done a sort of spin off, in the form of Shit Faced Showtime, doing the musical 'Oliver Twist'. The concept of the show is simple; they perform 'Oliver Twist', only one cast member is completely and utterly shit faced!

Deaf Havana - Rituals Release Show

Time for some live music! Last week Deaf Havana released their new album, 'Rituals', and did a couple of release shows for it, one of which was in Glasgow, so I went along. I knew it was going to be a small, stripped back show, quite different from the usual tours I've seen them on in the past, but I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from it. I ended up being delighted I went though!

Stonehaven Day Trip | Scotland

The other day I wrote the first post about my trip to Dundee a couple of weeks ago, involving a stop in St Andrews on the first day. I was visiting my cousin, who will tell you firsthand that there isn't loads of things to see and do in Dundee itself (though we did wander round town to see some of the main sights, like the Tay Railway Bridge and McManus Galleries). However, for the other full day I had there, we decided to get out of the city again, and take another day trip, this time even further north, to the town of Stonehaven, and the nearby Dunnottar Castle.

St Andrews Day Trip | Scotland

Firstly, I'm very annoyed at myself for the blogging absence over the last week or so. I've just started a new job (yes, again!), still as a tour guide, but working a lot more, so I've just been busy and tired. However, I am going to find the motivation to get back into writing more again. Anyways, before I started that job, I had a couple of days off so I actually went out of Edinburgh for a few days - as anyone who follows me on Instagram may have spotted. I was mainly in Dundee, visiting my cousin, but on the way up, I actually stopped off in St Andrews for most of the first day, the little beach town on the north east coast of Fife.
