Outfit – All in the Golden Afternoon

So today’s outfit was inspired by Alice herself, from the film ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (1951, not the more recent remake). I inverted Alice’s look, by wearing this blue denim dress with a white t-shirt underneath, instead of something on top like her apron. Normally I wear this dress alone, but I thought the top was more her style, to cover the cut-out in the middle. Black ballet flats were the obvious footwear choice, and I didn’t have a black bow or anything for my hair, but I thought a half ponytail was her sort of style. The teapot earrings were an easy choice, as a nod to the Mad Hatter’s tea party, and I decided on this tree of life necklace, as most of her adventures take place in a woodland setting. Finally, I kept my makeup very light and natural, since she is so youthful and innocent.
