Outfit – Balletic

There’s something about this skirt that makes me feel like a dancer when I wear it (fun fact: I did ballet for a year or two when I was a kid, until the teacher moved away)! I think it’s because it has so much ease of movement, with the pleats and the elastic waist, and it moves and fans out beautifully. I think even the underskirt if quite short to keep the range of movements it offers, and when paired with ballet flats like these, it’s easy to want to prance around in it. I pair it with a plain T-shirt, to not detract from how pretty the skirt is, but I chose grey to keep the outfit simple in tones, and I think the darker, muted colours offsets the delicateness of the skirt – as I’m not exactly one for girly, delicate clothing, generally speaking. I added a long pendant necklace, with a little splash of colour, and threw on another simple, dark coloured item, the cardigan, as it’s not quite warm enough to go without one just yet.
